Mission is vital. Mission is the kernel from which our values, purpose, and collective identity pop. Yet, mission drift is real and waiting for us each day. As leaders, we need to intentionally and regularly reconnect with our mission. We need to incarnate our mission through living our mission-defined values. We need to look in the mirror and at our teams. Do we know who we are because of our mission-defined collective identity? Our mission isn't simply good wall decoration or a wish that the world will be a better place. Mission is vital.

God's mission is vital for the Church. The Church's central purpose is to transform people into followers of Christ. Yet, even with Jesus our King giving His followers the mission of disciplemaking, we encounter mission drift daily.

"…the Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time" (C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity).

Is your identity rooted in Christ and in His missionally defined community, the Church?

What will you do today to reconnect with God's disciplemaking mission for His Church?

How will you incarnate Jesus' values for His followers?

Movement. Culture. Vision.

My goal is to multiply disciplemakers for Jesus among the churches. Christianity started as a multiplying movement and I want to help every church engage in disciplemaking-movement!
